I have finally moved on from the world of scarves/mittens/socks and am attempting to knit my very first sweater! I'm making it for my nephew, Carter. The pattern I am using was found on the Ravelry site, and is called "Trellis". This is what it will hopefully look like when it's completed (I'm about 80% done...just finishing up the sleeves and then all I have to do is make the collar and sew the pieces together):

WIPs
Not too much to see on "Aelita & Jax" yet. Had to frog about half the stitches after I realized I miscounted.
This is a new scarf I'm knitting. I found the pattern on the Ravelry site. It's called "Leisel Scarf". You can't really tell from the picture, but it's a series of leaves. The pattern itself isn't complicated, but it is easy to lose your place, so it's coming along quite slowly.

Coming Soon...
Joyce was kind enough to gift me with a gift certificate for "Stab and Stash" so that I could get a chart to stitch for the Stab and Stash SAL. After perusing through the patterns literally for hours, I finally decided on "Aelita & Jax" by Nikki Burnette. Tammy & Mike are kindly going to remove the background for me so I can stitch it on a hand-dyed. I think I've settled on "Starquest" by
Silkweaver Fabrics. It's a 28ct. opalescent lugana. I'm sooooo excited to get started!!

Just when I was on a stitching roll...
A certain "someone" posted a link to this amazing online knitting/crocheting community...
Now all I can think about is what I'm going to make next!
Here are a few of the projects I'm currently considering making:

Time for some new progress pics!
Babysitting (HAED)
Autumn Leaves (Fleur de Lis)
Alhambra Garden (Chatelaine)
Babysitting (HAED)
Autumn Leaves (Fleur de Lis)
Alhambra Garden (Chatelaine)
Now if I could focus on one piece instead of bouncing around so much, I might actually be able to finish something! But everytime I see a new Chatelaine WIP it makes me want to work on Alhambra, and each time I see a new HAED progress pic it makes me want to stitch on Babysitting .... you get the point! I seriously think I need blinders!!

A Fresh New Start...
I've always been one for new starts.
Whether it be moving to a new place, starting a new WIP, or simply creating a new blog.
There's a definite sense of excitment that arises from starting anew.
Perhaps this excitement lies with the chance to reinvent oneself...
